iPad safari session saver app?

Hello iPals!

Does anybody know of an app (or any other way) which can save your Safari browsing sessions?
I usually keep 10-15 tabs open which I need to use at some point in the future... It would be nice if I could save sessions (work, social, music, etc.) and keep my Safari tabs clean at all times...

Cheers!

Surely if you close Safari with tabs still open and then re-open it the same tabs will be available for use again. It certainly works that way on my iPad running IOS 7.04.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

You can create Bookmarks (or Bookmarklets) or even add a screen to your reading list in Safari. You can even elect to save these websites to your home screen.
When in Safari and on a site you wish to save, at the top of the page to the left of your URL, press the icon which looks like an open book, or if you have upgraded to IOS7 it will look like a square with an arrow pointing up on it.
If you have upgraded to IOS7 you will see Bookmark, Add to reading list, add to home screen etc. select which you would like. If selecting Bookmark, you can then change the title and have a choice of location. Folders can be made to add sites which pertain to the same category, or you can elect to save it as a favourite, this way you will see it at the top of Safari just below your URL for future reference. If you select Reading list, it will just be saved and you can access these by pressing the icon on the right of your URL which looks like a rectangle with a line through it, you then select the icon which looks like glasses to access this list. You can also edit your bookmarks or reading list from here. If you select Add to Home Screen, you can also change the title and this icon will appear on your home screen.
If not on IOS7 your bookmarks and reading list are accessed from the icon which is the open book, these can also be edited through the same icon. If you would like to Save to Home screen press the icon which is the box with an arrow coming out of it again to the left of your URL.

I hope this is what you mean....if you need more help, just holler! ;)

Thank you guys for your comments but my question is whether there is an app to save my whole session. I know safari keeps it anyway but when it crashes it crashes. Bookmarks are good but I'm looking for something else - which probably doesn't exist...

As far as I know, it does not exist, and I'm pretty sure it's not possible with stock iOS; which is why people are trying to give you workarounds. Pretty much the only viable solutions are various ways to organize and quickly access your bookmarks; at least in Safari.

There may be third party browsers that will do what you want, there are a lot of them. It will require some research and a willingness to relegate your workflow to a slightly slower and less integrated browser.

I've played around with the few browsers I own, and the closest thing I've seen to what you want is in Atomic. It is possible to set several different start up options. One of those options is to open all bookmarks in the root bookmark folder as tabs.

Another possibility is a bookmarklet (chunk of javascript in a bookmark). The problems being you'd most likely have to write it yourself, and I'm not %100 sure it's possible.

And that's all I've got.

Have you thought of just using another browser app for this.......there are quite a few of them and you could just use another for these sessions or vice versa.

That's what I thought, no solution... Well thanks guys, I guess I'll stick to my messy way of working. Don't trust other browsers
