Why yes of course it does.

EDIT:
Make sure you have a stable internet connection to avoid having surfing/connection issues.

Yes it does, but when you disconnect from the network, when you go on safari and try to search up something, something will come up on safari that says "safari cannot load because it is not connected to the Internet" so the safari must be connected to a network at all times in order to connect.
