Ipad won't restore

hi all,

my wife's iPad started to reboot itself continually, without actually finishing. I plugged it into i-tunes and it said I needed to do a restore to original factory settings. I tried this a number of times, and it looked like it was going to work. The old software was being extracted, and then it goes into waiting mode as it's about to restore the original software...and then you guessed it. Error message 9. I've tried this over and over with different cables, different usb ports. No luck...
Any ideas?

Error 9 is related to the security software on your PC. It seems to prevent iTunes connecting to the Apple servers or the iPad. Here's what you can try:
