They are different tools, I say invest in both (but then I do despise the mac).

I am happy with my original iPad the only way I would upgrade to a new iPad is if the memory was bigger.

In my opinion you are really not missing much apart from a headache.

I bought my daughter a MBP-13", and its SIMPLY AMAZING. I always sat on the fence looking into Apple, and never realized that it could be this awesome. The iPod proved it to me, the iPad gave me the same feeling, now I got my daughter raving about the MBP.....

I'm waiting until the iPad 3 is officially announced, and its specs and upgraded functionality confirmed - and only then I'd think about whether to even upgrade or not.

I love my 1st gen iPad and I use my iPhone camera for any pics I want. I don't need a thinner iPad or two cameras on it either. Unless apple makes something completely amazing for the next iPad, I will still be completely happy with the one I currently own.

I had the 64gb iPad 1 arrive two days before release and I had already got my monies worth within the first month.
I was sent an iPad 2 to try and i could not justify the upgrade as there were no improvements that affected the way i use the original iPad.

I had 2gb

No it just has 2 features the camera and AirPlay (mirroring it with apple tv) I think ( know) I can live without I know people who have one and I can use theirs but I have grown attached to mine and would not want to start over ( I just have games)
