iPad2 from Hong Kong problems

Hey,

I hope someone can help, my mum bought an ipad2 from Hong Kong (im from Australia) for me for Xmas, at the start the rear camera didn't work, so i restored and updated, it still didnt work, I then noticed the apple official cover had stated to peel off in the corner, I didn't pick at it or anything, everything else works fine, its the 32GB WiFi model, what should I do, are apple good with people purchasing devices overseas and repairing/replacing them if faulty, I have the receipt, If possible for repairs or anything, id like to go to an official apple or at least apple certified store,I tried the serial no. on the ipad on the apple store and it said it was invalid

what should I do?

The Apple warranty is worldwide, so if there is an Apple Store near you, get along to them and you should be fine.

One assumes this is a new iPad. As the problems are weird to say the least
