iPad2 US vs. iPad2 EU

We are considering purchasing an iPad2 as a prize-drawing give away item during our conference in Austria. Any concerns we should consider regarding one purchased in the US going to a winner in the EU? Thx!

It absolutely has to be the AT&T model; the Verizon iPad only works in the US and a few other countries. The AT&T model is GSM and will work in any country in the world. Although the charger is wordwide, the power adaptor (i.e. the actual physical 'bit' that plugs into the wall) is country specific. But the adaptor is detachable from the charger and adaptors can easily be purchased. There are no other issues; the warranty is world-wide too.

The difference is how Z is pronounced across the pond vs. in the U.S. Just a joke.

You can still change the keyboard layout in the settings though.
I have a EU iPad but still use the US layout.

only difference to the EU ipad is due to EU regulations the maximum volume is reduced to somewhat 80 something percent.

can be fixed with jailbreak tweak ....
