iPhone 4 sim in iPad 2 - UK

Did a forum search, couldn't find a thread like this

Firstly I'd like to know if this is possible
Then, if possible, I'd like to know how to do it

I have an iPhone 4 sim with 1 year's unlimited internet.
Are there steps required to put it in an iPad such as APN settings configuring, or is it a simple transfer?

It may depend on your service provider. Some SIMs automatically configure the APN settings of the iPad, so there's no more to do than transfer the SIM.

However, some service providers also monitor the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number of the equipment they're in and will not work when you transfer them from an iPhone to iPad.

If you let us know your service provider, we might be able to help you with other Member's experiences.
