Is ipad2 better for gaming?

This Christmas shopping time! My roommate has an ipad1 and is a consummate gamer. Would anyone confirm if an iPad2 would be a significant upgrade for him? Why?

I'd say it's a significant upgrade because of the A5 processor makes graphics and normal usage. Lot faster
