Is There A Recommended Anti-Virus Cleaner for iPad?

I feel it is necessary to check my iPad for viruses and malware. Is it necessary and if so, what is recommended?

It is not necessary to do that...

As AQ said you don't need an antivirus on the iPad as you can't get a virus,trojan or spyware on it.

Hi Carol - yes, if multiple people use your iPad, as a retired physician, I would strongly encourage that each washes their hands before handling the device to prevent the spread of viruses or other germs to others - Dave

It's got me thinking. How many times have I said "Go and wash your hands for dinner, and give that Ipad to me." I feel quite nauseous.
