I just downloaded it! (I'm in Canada)

On start up Skype said the app has to be run on an unmodified iPad. (mine is jail broken)

On the second start up of Skype, the app works properly...

I wonder if they're limiting the downloads at present - bound to be thousands/millions of users trying to get a copy.

I'm sitting in a coffee shop (with free WiFi) and, when I saw it was available, went to the App Store. It was there, I clicked install (direct to my iPad, of course, no messing with iTunes or a PC) and I was good to go.

Yep, it's there as of this post (in the USA).

They had temporarily removed it yesterday, for "premature release" reasons, but it's now there. I've installed it and it works fine.

I just found today...I love ipad
