What's new

is there anyone knows, what is should be avoid while charging ipad2 ?...

Apple computers provide full charge 10 watt via USB so charge time is about the same as wall charge. I frankly use wall charge with ipad charger for the ipad, iPod, and iPhone. Charging from USB on. Pc in majority of cases is like waiting for the grass to grow as most only support 5 watt devices Life is 2 short don't bother

I have heard from both Apple (though I haven't seen this in the documentation) and a local, very reputable Mac specialist (WeFixMacs) that leaving the charger on overnight is not advisable. There is circuitry built in to detect when the battery is 100% charged. When the battery reaches a full charge, the circuitry automatically shuts off the charger to prevent damage to the battery. However, the battery then begins to discharge and the charger is again turned on. Over time, this repeated turning on and off of the mechanism diminishes the overall battery life. That's the theory anyway and it makes sense I suppose.

Having said that, I leave my iTouch plugged in all night, every night, and it seems quite strong after two years so we may be splitting hairs on this point. Insofar as getting only 5 hours on a charge, if the battery is still brand new, you can expect an increase in performance over time as the battery becomes "seasoned." But, over a little time (maybe two weeks at most) it should give you the full 10 hours, or very close to that with WiFi. I would report it now. Good Luck!

Hold the power button and the home button down at the same time until you see the Apple logo.

Let it reboot.

When your iPad starts trippin ~ start with that step first.:)

This is what I meant by reset.

hmmm .... i'm really confuses, some say it should not to charge overnight, but the other hand say it is. hehehehe but thanks before of all statement. but can i charge my iPad even there are more life remainings? and can i stop charging before full ?

When charging using a computer I think it depends on what USB port it is (1.1 or 2.0). Also I use the Apple Keyboard Extender to extend my iPad charging cable in style, will it affect it?

Sent from my interestingcompanionPad using iPF!
