Since I am from India ,were Ipad is not officially available ,I had to buy it from someone from US at a premium price.I bought Ipad 64gb 3g version with 3.2.2 FW. Things got sick,when I tried jb with limera1n.JB went fine,but after installing cydia,it crashed ,now am stuck with apple logo.I can get it into dfu mode,but on trying restore,am getting error like "not eligible for requested build" in mac or error 3014 and alike,when trying restore in windows.Anyway I havent yet crossed software verification step.....pls helpl me out to restore my ipad,no way I can go to service center as apple do not provide service for ipad in India.......:(:confused:
I have jbed ipod touch1g,2g,iphone 3gs and 4 .but I can't deal with Ipad...did I loose my money,am desperate....pls advise....

Posted this in the other thread you responded in. For the Error 3014, try reinstalling both iTunes and downloading your iOS again. Restore through iTunes and DON'T download the 4.2.1 IPSW elsewhere for the restore.

See if that helps.

EDIT: I also read that your problem could be your ISP. If the above doesn't work, then try using this:

Leigh & Donna McCulloch: iPhone/iPod OS Update Error 3014 SOLUTION
itunes still direct me to 3.2.2(not 4.2.1)
is it bcoz i got my shsh files corrupt by limera1n?
tried hotspot shield,but couldn't find out how to make it work
Thanks for your help,anyway.

Please help me out,is my host file ok?

# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
#127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
#gs.apple.com
#74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
#127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
#gs.apple.com
#74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

I'm almost positive they have to look identical. Like this:

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
# 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
# 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
# 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
# gs.apple.com
# 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

But, I could be wrong. I'm only going by with what I searched.
