The Apple iPad is one of the most popular tech products to have ever become available on the market, but what about its users? Are they happy with their Cupertino branded tablet? Of course they are.

A new survey conducted by JD Power assessed customer satisfaction with their purchased tablets, showcasing that people who purchased iPads couldn’t be happier with their choice. Another interesting fact the research discovered is that for most tech lovers, only the iPad is real. People in the survey wouldn’t rate “About average†any other tablet.

Owners of tablets had to arrange five different gadget feats, the first one being the one they placed most importance on. The particular qualities they had to arrange were: performance, ease of operation, styling & design, features and cost. After which they had to state their overall satisfaction with the product they were reviewing.

And the iPad had no competitors as it was the only product that got the “among the best†tag. The other tags users could choose to describe tablets where: Better than most, About average and The rest. Basically, the competition coming from Amazon, Samsung, Asus and Acer was no match for the iPad. The Apple tablet scored 836 points out of 1000 possible with the survey.

A similar survey coming from the same JD power found that the iPhone was the smartphone that made customers most happy. The iPhone was awarded the first spot for the 9th consecutive time. If the iPad is going to keep it up, it might catch up with its cousin in no time.

Not surprised at all. Anyone who has handled/used the other tablets and can give an honest opinion knows that the iPad is king.

Even the stores that sell a range of tablets seem to treat the iPad differently. Often, the competing tablets look as though they have been dumped on a table. The message seems to be "There you go. Sort through that lot and see if there's anything you can use." The shopping experience is akin to the difference between a Cadillac showroom and a breakers yard. I'm pretty sure a lot of that is down to Apple's insistence that their displays have to be managed a certain way, but when there is usually a Windows tablet showing the blue screen announcing an unrecoverable error, it doesn't fill one with enthusiasm.
