Junk email problems after loading ios8 on ipad

Since loading ios8 on my iPad it won't go back to the general mailbox after deleting junk mail. I have to close the app. I tried deleting my mailbox and doing a soft reset, but it didn't help.

When you say "go back" do you mean you are clicking the arrows or whatever that should take you back? Did this used to work and then stopped right after the latest update?

Yes, when I click the back arrow. This problem never happened before the ios 8 update.
