Dear Folks - I just joined this morning. I am a 61 year old retired special education teacher. I bought a refurbished
iPad 2 with 64gig and both wifi and 3G, since I wanted access to all my music, photos, and pretty much everything
else on my laptop on a much more portable device.
Since I am in every way "old school", as they say, I need an easy-to-understand "how-to" forum. My latest dilemma
is finding out how to put all of my email accounts (non-Apple) on the iPad; (i.e. Yahoo, AOL, G-mail, etc) so that I
can write emails from here rather than having to revert to the iPhone or the laptop. Any help, either public or private would be greatly appreciated.
The other immediate question is regarding manipulating MS Office documents on the iPad. The two alternatives I
have explored are "Documents To Go", and another program I can't remember the name of, but seems to use
Google Docs and a Drop Box. Does anybody have opinions either way as to the better of these two options, at least
until MS Office itself is offered for the iPad? All the best as I explore my new purchase... - Janet Baernstein
