Hello all.

I have recently given up on as much of Micro$oft as I can, or that my business can get by without, so I have found this forum because of my endeavor to continue with that intention.

I own and use an iPad Mini judiciously, a MacBook Pro 15" Retina, (Oct. 2012,) a Blackberry Z10, Kindle Fire and a Kindle Keyboard.

I play drums, not as much as I wish I did, but none the less, I stay active.

I am a senior, semi-retired, self employed photo restoration artist and graphic artist.

A self taught computer 'whiz.'

Glad to be here. I hope to learn more about the Aple way of doing things, and to help as I see I am able to.

Thanks for looking,
Kelly J.

Thanks for joining, Kelly. I'm in the same boat as you, gradually moving over to all-Apple. So far, it feels like a good move.

One thing I REALLY like about iOS/OS X is the way they play nicely together. The integration is almost seamless, and will only get better with the introduction of iOS 7.

Thanks Kevin.

I also use a virtual machine through Parallels software to minimize the switching from Windows to Mountain Lion as well as a Bootcamp Partition to utilize my Windows 7 OS, as with the VM.

I look forward to being able to use the video editing software (Vegas Pro) on Mac when they get around to formatting it for Apple, which they (SONY) have stated that they are working on.

Photoshop CS6 Extended and SONY Vegas Pro as well as DVD Architect are my main apps for client projects, so accepting a new learning curve is not what I want to do or look forward to doing. If I have to, I will, but I will do what I can to stay productive in the environment I am in till I no longer have a choice.

Thanks again,
Kelly J.
