Keyboard showing when checkbox clicked

I looked everywhere online and in this forum, maybe I am not putting in the right search string, but how do you turn off any kind of keyboard interaction when the checkbox is clicked in Safari?

Whenever I click on a checkbox, the keyboard comes up. This is annoying.
