Lag when scrolling through docs - cause?

We are using iPads for work and have all recently installed Office2HD which I rate very highly and have had no problem with, however a colleague who is using an iPad 2 with the same app is getting major lag when scrolling through the very same docs I manage to fly through.

Anyone know what may be causing this or how it can be resolved?

Maybe your friend has a lot of apps opened and so his RAM is almost used up? Has he tried to close all running apps (via the multitask bar)? That might help.

That's a great suggestion. I have been using iPads for a couple of years but have never realised the multitask bar!!! Thanks for the tip, will suggest he try it.
