Latest iOS for Original iPad?

With all the hoopla about iOS7, I looked on a download site but could not find my model (A1219). It took a few minutes for it to sink in that perhaps this old technology cannot handle the new OS; so . . . that raised the question, "What is the latest iOS release for the original iPad?

I am as up-to-date as I'm ever going to be on this iPad, but I did update my iPhone 4S to iOS7 today. It's going to take some getting used to.
