PS Lanny, the only reason I was not sure if your post is in the award group is because I am not sure what your post is referring to in terms of funny. I am very sensitive today as well. Diane, the unfortunate raccoon was simply another case of a road stripe painter not paying attention. These guys have one job...

There's also a rather famous and very similar photo of a demised marsupial...but I felt it was too disrespectful of our state mammal, the Roadkill Opossum.

Thanks more than you know Lanny! I honestly can say it is almost impossible to stop me from laughing. Your thoughtful words are wonderful and NOW I see the funny in it ! A very small funny - I AM SO SO glad those guys didn't kill him on purpose! Or .....DID THEY?
