Loading Large ePub Files

I've just spent half the morning uploading a large ePub (170mb) to iBooks using dropbox.

Are there any alternatives to this?
iTunes doesn't seem to have the type of app connection that I use for Kindle and iComics.

Haven't done it for a while, but I'm pretty sure I just drag ebooks onto the iPad in iTunes and it dumps the book straight into iBooks.

I'll see if I can figure it out again tomorrow. It's been a long time since I did it.
