Thank you!

This is our last night here, so our visit is almost over. :(

Today we went to the British Museum. It was our only destination, and we spent a few hours there.

The entry is free, except for a few exhibitions where you have to pay, so quite a few others had the same idea, and most of them also wanted to take a picture of the Rosetta Stone. That's why I couldn't get a good photo of it. Interesting enough, the rooms about Egypt were the ones where it was more crowded than in other rooms.

It wasn't easy getting photos without someone looking somewhere.

So here are a few photos of sculptures, busts, other things we saw there:

We also saw an exhibition called "Defining Beauty - the body in ancient Greek art", but it wasn't allowed to take pictures there.

Very good! Thanks for some more excellent photos.

Great photos of the London Museum Johanna..... brought back memories of things that haven't changed since our last visit to London:).

As promised, some of the pictures I took before, but couldn't show.

Here are those I took while we were taking a stroll through Hyde Park:

We entered through a small gate next to the statue of Achilles. The statue is cast from cannon.

A lovely fountain, remembering of the concerts held in Hyde Park

Hi Johanna - thanks for the additional pictures, especially of the British Museum - one could spend weeks there - believe that I've made 3-4 visits (several w/o Susan - she tires pretty quickly of museums and this one, the Louvre, and a number at the Smithsonian can be exhausting).

I must say that my favorite items, mainly because of their historic interest are the Elgin Marbles and the Rosetta Stone - Dave :)

Thanks for the Hyde Park photos. I didn't get to see most of the park and these photos are very good in showing me what to expect on my next trip to London.

I've noticed that one visit is not enough. We didn't see the Elgin Marbles, e.g.
