Looking for a Strategy-Conquer the world/universe sort of game

Ok the problem with having 23,487,573,930 apps in the app store is finding one you like.

I looking for a good conquer the world or universe type of game.

The only one I have found so far is Ascendancy, I sure there has to be others.

Some PC examples would be Age of Empire, Sins of a Solar Empire, or Civilization.
