Looking for safe movie downloads

Hi, I'm new to using my ipad for more than emails and Facebook. I would like to be able to watch downloaded movies or TV shows on my ipad when I am off the grid. I read that the forum was a place to start. Is that true? How do I do it? Thanks! By the way, I am a retired kindergarten teacher who wants to do some camping in my VW camper and still watch some movies or tv without using up my data on streaming. I don't know exactly how much data it takes to stream but I think it's much more than my lowest data plan allows. Thanks for any help!

The safest, easiest way to get movies onto the iPad is to download them from the iTunes Store app. It is not, however, the cheapest.

Other than this I only use a couple of the streaming services, so I can't offer any real advice on other methods.
