Lost ipad

I gave my ipad3g to my daughter and now she lost it...is there a way for me to find it?what do I need to do?

If she had find my iPad activated on her iPad, you can find it by logging into the find my iPad my iPad app on your iPad, using her Apple ID and password. It will show the location of her iPad on a map if it is turned on and connected to the Internet.
Here's the Apple page on it. http://www.apple.com/ca/icloud/features/find-my-iphone.html

If the thief turns on the iPad and connects it to the Internet, you should be able to get a location fix, if the find my iPad app was activated and location services are turned on in the stolen iPad.

I never knew there was an app for this, I for some reason thought it was just built in. I just downloaded it and it had both my of my iPads listed.

You learn something all the time on iPad Forum.

Alright....so the stolen ipad should also have a find my iphone app as well? Coz I don't think she has that app...and one more question...what if the thief changed the apple I'd would that affect the tracking?

The thief couldn't change the Apple ID on the iPad, but he could connect it to iTunes on his computer and erase everything, restoring it to factory condition.
Yes, the stolen iPad has to have the find my iPhone app installed and turned on.

tracker tags

I sure hope your ipad makes it's way back to you.
It may be too late for this ipad but here is a tip that may prevent the same thing from happening next time.
I had a similar thing happen to me on a trip to Mexico, but it was my passport that I lost. Luckily for me I had a tracer tag on my it. A waiter where I ate lunch found it and entered my tracker number on the Okoban website and I was instantly sent a text message (and an email) before I ever even knew it was missing. The tags are available through Mystufflostandfound.com. It saved my trip and I now have them on almost everything that goes with me on a trip, including my ipad.
