Lost sound on imessages

Hi, all of a sudden I have no sound on sending n receiving messages on imessage, have rechecked in settings in general, imessage etc, cannot find any answers. Would appreciate any help

Maybe you have accidentally muted it...
Try going to Settings>General>"Use Side Switch to:" Set it to "Mute" then flick your side switch to make sure it's unmuted...

Or you can try to restart your iPad.

Hi, thanks to all, it was muted...lol.... I think I got sick of it turning round, so locked it, all bit confusing as to which way to go..... Where abouts is this Forum?? I live in Australia.
