You could use the camera kit but I seriously doubt there is an "APP" for it.

What's next adding key board, monitor, speakers, hard drive, not to mention a printer?
Now we converted a fast and slim mobile device into a desk top.. Please buy a computer and call it a day.

Once you get all the components working together I attached a carrying case you can use to transport it.

Though I tend to agree with the tone of comments on this thread, it's worth noting that the efforts to transform the iPad into a desktop replacement PC pale in comparison to similar efforts among smartphone hackers. I frequent several android boards and am repeatedly amused by threads that suggest widespread interest (among younger folks, I think) in using their phones as home theaters. :)

Spot on! When we had desktop only, we wanted them to be mobile. Then we got laptops, then we wanted them to be slim, fast, with long battery life. Then we got the iPad, so we want to be able to attach USB drive, mouses, external display, etc... The circle of life?

VicoPad addict!

There's magicjack app in the app store and it's free! Ya'll can check it out! I got mine on my ipad but u have to have an existing magicjack account for it. Long as u got wifi or 3g ur able to make and receive calls in the US.
