Mail App not working

The mail app that comes on the iPad has been working fine up until now.

I just got an error telling me that either my username or password was incorrect for my hotmail email, so I decided to reset my password just in case. After doing so I typed in the correct information and received the error once again.

Everything I've tried hasn't worked. (I.e. I reset the password, removed it and readded it, hard closed the app and tried again, and rebooted the iPad)

Anyone know a fix?
 
Hi guys, in my case, when i open the email add, and the screen is already showing my email, screen suddenly becomes unresponsive no matter what i do. I already disabled the acct and gave it a break afterwhich i added it again, new emails come in but same thing happens, can't access my mail. Appreciate if anyone knows how to fix it. Thanks
 
Just tried restart now and it's already working fine :)

Great! I was going to suggest that you 'Restart' or 'Reset' the iPad; another option when an app is not functioning is to try a 'force close', i.e. open the multi-taskbar (double tap the home button), then press & hold the offending app until the icon jiggles, press the minus sign; return to the home screen and try again - just an additional suggestion - hope all continues to work well & welcome to the forum! :)

Hello - your left a post in an 18 month old thread - may not get muct attention: BUT, I would suggest that you first delete your Gmail account from the iPad, then set it up again (make sure that your IMAP & SMTP settings are correct) - if this does not solve your issue, then please post a new thread for others to see - good luck! Dave :)
