Make Third Party Apps Work Natively?

Is there a way to make third party apps work natively without jailbreaking? For example, YouTube videos automatically open with Google's official YouTube app available in the App Store, but I'd rather have them open in another YouTube client called Video Tube, which is very similar to the per-iOS 6 native app.

Is there any way to make videos open in this app, as they would in the official app?

There are other YouTube clients which work very well. Jasmine and YouPlayer spring to mind here. They both have their strengths and weaknesses.
