Managing photos on iPad 2 & 4.

Having owned an iPad for just over a year I have amassed quite a collection of photos, some of thes photos have outlived their attraction. Try as I might I cannot ascertain a way of deleting photos from my collection. I would be grateful if anyone knows how to remove unwanted photos.

To delete a photo, tap the thumbnail to enlarge it to full screen, then follow the instructions in these screenshots.





Once a photo is deleted, the next one comes up. You can delete it or swipe to the next as you move through all your photos, choosing which ones you want to delete.
