Microsoft office on IPAD 2

If Office does come out for the iPad will it be just as insanely expensive as it's Windows software counterpart?

Actually the official news on that is they may price it the same as the Apple stuff ($9.99) per component.

IMO, Microsoft is a little late to the tablet office game. If they were gonna do this, why not a year or two ago? I'm sure there is still a healthy market for a good office suite but many of us already have one or more components of an office product and are pretty happy with them.

Let's face it...they're late with everything. They're like that neat guy who's great at parties but he's always showing up just as everyone is going home.

I would be curious to see how how the Microsoft office looks for the iPad. With he apple version, is it compatible with non apple machines ( windows )?

Late or not, it'll be a massive huge welcome by so many peeps. Me included. :)

Im sure plenty of people will be happy but there are also plenty of us that are very pleased with the existing Office solutions already out there. Either way, that's cool they are doing it.

here is a tip: check if the App is officially released by Microsoft before you download. The company name is usually beneath the App Name. Judging from the picture above, it is released by FutureMedia Studio, and the category is "Books" or "Education", not "Productivity"
