Mixing headphones

If I have a bluetooth headphone set with my i-Pad4, can I also connect at the same time, a normal wired headphone so that two people can listen, or will that not work?

Alternatively two bluetooth sets ? Also, would the bluetooth be OK onboard an aircraft (after take off) ?

The low tech method would be a splitter cable out of the headphone jack. They make them for sharing music on iPods and iPhones, so the same will work with an iPad. That will also get you over any issue with Bluetooth during the flight.

Thanks for your reply. After reading up on this a little more yesterday, I see that bluetooth may have some problems, so I will get a second wired headset and splitter cable as you suggest.
