mobileme not syncing contacts - help please !!

Hi all this is my first post on here apart from introduction.

Yesterday I set up mobileme and it syncs email and calendar but is not syncing contacts at all whatever I try. I haven't really checked bookmarks as recently I have been using google bookmarks so will have to set up some internet explorer bookmarks and try syncing those.

I am using a pc with vista and outlook 7 (ms outlook not outlook express) and syncing to an ipad.

I have spent all morning seeking answers on apple and the web but can't find one. pc to mobileme cloud is ok but contacts on the ipad were wiped during syncing and whatever I try I cannot get any on there from mobileme.

Does no one on here use mobileme? Or had any problems syncing? Maybe if not one of you might know where I can find the answer, or suggest a helpline that doesn't phone the USA and actually works?

As I said I've tried apple Q&A's and the virtual thingy is a nonsense.
