Moving files from video folder to iMovie

I converted my video files from my GoPro camera using Wondershare Video Converter and sent them to "Videos" on my Ipad2.
How do I now move them to IMovie for editing?

are they in the ipod video section or in the photo app section of your ipad? you should just open up imovie, when starting a new project, they should automatically show up in the top right corner.

They are in the iPad video section.
They won't show up in IMovie. I'd like to move them over for editing.

As far as I know, only the videos on the camera roll will be recognized by iMovie.
