Moving movie from local to VLC without SSH

Greetings,

I have an Ipad 2 iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreaked version.

Using Cydia I installed VLC media player (fromZodTTD & MacCiti Entertainment).
How do I actually move file X.mkv X GB from my desktop to my VLC playlist?

I know there is a SSH way, but it's too slow for big files. Any suggestions?
(And in iTunes doesn't work either, the VLC doesn't even appear in the file sharing apps section)
