music note on screen

while playing I have a music note on the screen and I cannot do anything with it.The only way I can change the screen is to hit home. Is this correct?
Seems kind of dumb!

It's how mine works. So that is correct. Why it does that I'm not certain, just the way the OS is set up.

as long as you dont hit the stop button. you could listen to your music while you're browsing and reading.
