My ipad crashed.

Well my ipad was working but then i got this screen that said to plug my ipad to the itunes. I did and somehow after i installed a update, my ipad reset. I want to know why and if there is any way to get my information back.

If information was deleted from your iPad, and not backed up elsewhere, there is, unfortunately, no way to recover it.
