Need help!! Dodgy noise emanating from new ipad2 :((

Hi!

Got an iPad 2 at the end of November and in the last week it has started making a "white noise" sound coming from the speaker. It happens totally randomly and can last a couple of seconds or a couple minutes. Any ideas????
