Need to free up space on hard drive (C)

I am running out of space on my C drive. I do have a 500GB external hard drive (E).

I am thinking of uninstalling iTunes and iPad software and re-installing on drive E.

Will that work ? Will they run from an external drive ?

On your Mac? There is no C drive on an iPad2. It is not a computer.

Where are your iTunes libraries located? Why not just move them to the external drive?

The music files are already on my external drive. I would like to move the program itself to the external drive to free up space on the internal drive on the PC.

iTunes itself isn't space heavy per se, it's the library's that hog space. Just go buy another drive. They're uber cheap.

The external drive is just that - a drive to store things on like you put DVD's on the DVD shelf and put them in the DVD player to run you need to run the programs on the computer/iPad/Mac/laptop/iPhone they won't work from the external drive.
