New guy and tethering?

Hi, been using my iPad for about a year and use it all over the EU. I am unable to work out how to use, tether or whatver you call it, when one's mobile acts as a modem. I have a HTC Hero so any ideas would be very helpful.

Hey there, unfortunately the only way you can tether an iPad with a phone is via mobile hotspot, and as you know the hero does not have that feature. Even by jailbreaking the iPad there is no way to tether via a chord.
