Bought IPAD 2 yesterday at BestBuy. Messing around this morning and managed to freeze up Safari. I managed to unstick it by holding down the onoff button and sliding the red slide that appeared. Is this a common occurance - the freezing up? Don't want to have to constantly reboot or whatever. Anybody have an idea what I did to cause this. I have used pc's for years, but don't have any idea how tablets really work and don't want to mess it up! Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

This is not a normal practice but it can happen sometimes as any pc, phone or electronic device will do, however is it happen to often then is not normal and I will take it back to Best Buy.

Not normal but it happens. You can just close down Safari *completely* and start it up again without having to reboot.

Thank you. It has been smooth sailing since then as I learn to navigate. I think I gorked it with too much video at once.
