New Member Introduction

I'm considering purchasing the ipad 2 to manage my business activities which include managing customers, orders, contacts, and events. I spend most of my time outdoors and I need something easy to use on the go.

I need to know that the necessary tools are available for the ipad 2. In particular, I need my customer database to be shared with others in the enterprise. I would like easy access to google calendar, email and I will also need to generate Excel spreadsheets.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Yes you can set up your Ipad so that it can access / sync your Google mail and Calendars easily.

For your customer database / events / contacts and much more I would suggest you take a look at the Filemaker app. Their website is Database Software | FileMaker (United Kingdom). Also the Documents to Go app might solve your spreadsheet needs.

There are two options......

If you are using the app, touch forums button (bottom left of screen), navigate to the forum you want to post in and then touch the box with an arrow coming out of it (top right of screen)

On the website, touch the iPad forum button (top left), touch the forum that you want to post in then just above the top post and on the left you will see the purple New Thread button, touch that and you are good to go.
