I only just got around to signing up. I am 71 years old, and have had an iPad since March - a refurb, 16 GB, wifi only. By now I am pretty much an addict. I don't use my desktop much any more, because of all the fascinating apps I have loaded. Personally I like the aps that consolidate contributions from several places. I get to see news and stuff that I would otherwise never see. Looking forward to March 2012, or whenever the iPad3 comes out. Then I'll upgrade.

Great, however iPad has lots more to offer than just apps. If you are close to an apple store sign up for their "one on one" classes to learn more about your iPad.

Hi EricS - welcome to the forum! :)

Wish the iPad was around when my father in-law was still alive - he got into computers after his retirement (back in the later 80s or so) and really struggled learning email and word processing; on our visits, I was constantly in his den helping w/ the computer and re-explaining what I had gone over previously - the iPad would have made his learning much easier and likely much more enjoyable!

Glad that you're having fun w/ the device - I own an iPad2, so not sure the need for me to upgrade; I often 'skip' a generation but who knows what new features will be added?
