Welcome! Please as far as storage size goes I recommend if you can afford 64g then get it, if not I suggest atleast 32g. And for carriers I recommend att if you ever plan on using your ipad abroad, It's gsm so it's unlocked where as verizon used cmda which isn't.

Thanks to all for insight on iPad purchase. Here is where I stand and this should be of interest to many. On a spur of the moment I bought a used iPad 1 32g wifi only for my wife so she can use it instead of her 3GS iPhone to do email, google searches, and ebay, QVC, etc. As an Air Force retiree I was looking to buy the iPad 2 64g black wifi only at the base exchange tax free but they are out of stock with no date for delivery and I just can't get comfortable with the white frame for reading novels from iBooks or magazine subscriptions. So, I'm buying a black iPad 2 64g wifi 3G ATT. Don't expect I'll use the 3G often but could come in handy for trips. At the same time I'm purchasing the 27" iMac and HP Envy 100 all-in-one printer/copier/scanner with airprint. So tired of the PC and intermittent operation. Also will be nice to get rid of all the extra power cords and wires. Would be nice to save on state sales tax by buying iMac at the base exchange but not sure I'm tech savvy enough to mesh iMac, 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, iPod, and all the data files from my PC backup hard drive so I may op for purchasing the iMac from the Apple reseller in town and let him set it all up. I've learned a lot from reading the iPad Forum messages and I think I'm going to be quite happy when I get everything set up and running.
