Hi! I've had my iPad 2 for about four months and just love it. I just found this forum and think it's a great idea, it's always good to connect with others using the same "new" device. I'm using my iPad for work and for personal as well. I have recently downloaded Docs to Go, am anxious to see how well I can update spreadsheets and Word documents with it. I am using an attached keyboard that I recently got and am liking it so far. My only issue so far, is that the power adapter hasn't lasted very long, for charging it with a wall charger. I've went through two so far.

Hi there and welcome.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend.......and please don't forget to read the rules http://www.ipadforums.net/forum-rules-help-info/2119-forum-rules-everybody-please-read.html

These are the hacking section rules for all you jail breakers (and would be jail breakers) http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-hacking/2892-hacking-section-rules-please-read.html

We also have an app for this forum. The link to download the app is: Discussion Forum for iPad Users for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store

You can download the manual for your iPad here http://support.apple.com/manuals/ and in iBooks search for "iPad user guide for" and you will find free comprehensive manuals for both iOS 4 and 5.

If you have other Apple products or are interested in other Apple kit then why not join our sister forum too at http://www.appleforums.net/

Finally, if you still haven't had enough, how about a video explaining about our other forums (note:you may want to play this at half speed but hey, why shouldn't Phil be excited about our forums!)

Hi Mothertrh - welcome to the forum! :)

Let us know your needs for 'office apps' - maybe other suggestions can be made, e.g. iWorks w/ Pages, Numbers, & Keynote duplicate the MS Office Apps of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - NO not as powerful but quite good on the iPad.

Also, curious about your problem w/ the charger - I'm assuming that you are using the 10 W Apple AC adapter? This has worked fine for me over 8 months and I'm sure others have had no issues - you might want to expand on your problems if you want some comments and advice - good luck!
