New memeber, have new ipad, need help answering a question

Just opened the box and took out the first generation iPad. I can't get it to stop showing me the iTunes logo with a picture of the usb plug.....I want to get on with using it, but this is annoying. Can you help me??? Thanks in advance

Any new iPad has to be synched with iTunes on a PC or Mac first of all before you can use it. Absolutely no way around this. Get the latest version of iTunes on your PC or Mac and then connect the iPad to your PC. It only takes a short time - upside is that it will automatically transfer all your iTunes content on your PC/Mac if you have any and set up any email accounts, transfer your contacts etc.

If you have problems with this, the Apple Store will do it for you.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!
