Hello Jodi - as I posted elsewhere this is an impossible question to answer - there are tens of thousands of apps available for the iPad. If you want some specific suggestions then please at least tell us the 'categories' of apps that would interest you (these are well defined at the App Store).

In the meantime, I would suggest that you obtain from the store the following 2 apps: 1) AppAdvice and 2) AppStart - both are excellent and will provide you plenty of information on some of the best and the newest iPad apps - good luck in your search!
