Hello - I'm new to this and just got an IPAD2 16G WIFI. Everything works fine - BUT - when I delete email from my IPAD - it still remains on my Laptop. I'd prefer that when I delete an email be it from my laptop or IPAD that the email would be gone from both devices. Any advise?

It depends whether you're using POP or IMAP for your email protocol. It sounds as though you're using POP. Switch to IMAP and your wish will be granted!

I use RoadRunner, which is antiquated to the max - they don't do IMAP, only POP.

I say that to tell you that there is a way, at least for my RoadRunner POP accout, for me to delete messages off the server via settings from the iPad. They get deleted and I don't have to go to the RoadRunner site to delete messages.

To do this, I've set up my RoadRunner e-mail account (via the iPad's Settings app, under the Advanced portion) to

1) Remove "Deleted Message" after one day
2) Delete from server "when removed from inbox"

As I said, this works for me in that my RoadRunner account stays cleaned up. Maybe it'll help you? Good luck and let me know how you get on.

P.S. Of course, you could do what I also did - I got a Gmail account so I could have an IMAP account. But, I still have to deal with the RoadRunner one, so, it solved half my troubles...
