Newbie Ignorance

I am new to iPad, but have used iTunes for years on my PC. I synched several albums from my PC to my new iPad, but I can't find my music library on the iPad. when I open iTunes, my only options are to buy music at the iTunes store. How do I find the music I downloaded from my PC, and how do I play it?

I use iTunes on the PC to see/play my music library. But not on the iPad!
