Hi Lauran and welcome to the Forum!

Insurance is definitely a good idea, some members are including iPads on their home insurance others are taking out stand alone policies. One of our Forum sponsors is Ensquared who have iPad insurance policies, have a look. Yes there is a coating on the screen of the iPad and it is best that you don't use chemicals to clean your iPad. I don't know that case personally but we have threads here on all the cases available, have a look and see what other members think of them.

The IPad Forum is a community of members from all walks of life and from all over the world coming together to share our experiences and to help each other learn about this wonderful piece of technology the Ipad. There is a wealth of information already here in the many threads we have so doing some searches will answer most of the questions you have. If then you cannot find the answer you are seeking then by all means post your question. There are many friendly and informed members here only too willing to help you.

We also have our own App - It is a very simple app to navigate.

Hello and welcome!

Insurance = must have. There are many options for insurance, take a look at the various options that are available and decide what is best for you. If the iPad was purchased from a Best Buy, they really have the best insurance/warranty policy. Take a look at that if available. I like the Gumdrop case, but the screen protector on it needs to go. Get a ZAGG Shield.

Also, make sure to use the forums SEARCH feature, it will cut down on the number of duplicate threads as your question may have already been asked :)
